Hire Desk Manager

CCO is recruiting on behalf of a specialist Plant Hire Company based in North-West London, this client are experts in Sales, Service & Hire of all Hydraulic attachments servicing the construction industry. Our client is looking for a Hire Desk Manager to join their growing team with immediate effect.

The role of Hire Desk Manager in brief:

  • Taking hire enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Quoting customers on their requirements and managing expectations.
  • Raising contracts on the system.
  • Managing the efficient day-to-day operation of the business, ensuring that high levels of service are maintained
  • Checking availability of equipment and ensuring that equipment statuses are always up to date on our systems.
  • Processing, and correctly storing delivery/collection notes.
  • Providing PODs and POCs to customers.
  • Coordinating with transport department, allocating drivers to breakdowns throughout the day, again managing customers’ expectations.
  • Coordinating with the other departments to ensure that the equipment is delivered to site on correct dates.
  • Communicating effectively with other colleagues and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for depot enquiries.
  • Recharges/Damage and Loss; ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner, notifying customers of any further charges.
  • Ensure that all administration tasks and processes are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Reporting to Depot Manager.

The ideal candidate for Senior Hire Desk Controller:

  • Previous experience in a Plant/Tool hire role is essential.
  • Previous experience using Insphire package would be ideal.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, and computer skills in general.
  • Ability to prioritise according to the demands of a busy depot
  • You must be outgoing and enthusiastic.
  • Organised.
