CCO Group is working alongside a leading multi-disciplinary Real Estate Consultancy that is one of the fastest growing in the world. They employ over 6000 people spanning 15 Countries with their offices located around the UK and headquartered in Central London. As a wide-ranging real estate consultancy, they work across all markets but have a real focus on developing, their Project Management teams across a number of projects including commercial office, major government estates and cultural property refurbishments. Project values can vary between £500K and £50M depending on the division. They are looking for experienced Project Managers/Senior Project Managers for their London division, they are open to a varied skillset from both contracting and consultancy, with consultancy experience being highly beneficial. This is a fantastic time to be joining this business with their growth plans in the PM division but the business as they move forward. You will join a company that has its staff’s interest at the centre of everything they do.

What is the role?

To manage and successfully deliver construction/engineering projects and provide related consultancy services for our clients.

What are your main responsibilities?

  • Provide a professional Project Management service to successfully deliver capital works projects for a diverse range of clients.
  • Direct and manage project teams from inception to handover and operation.
  • Chair meetings with design teams, cost consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
  • Monitor project progress, produce reports, and work schedules and identify corrective actions within the project team to ensure projects are always delivered safely and on time, on budget to meet the specified quality of the agreed design.
  • Adopt a rigorous approach to the control of cost, quality, change management and programme by implementing project tools and procedures, standards, and documentation.
  • Take ownership and demonstrate leadership.
  • Be responsible for the successful achievement of project critical success factors
  • Seek and maintain clarity of purpose and objectives.
  • Most of the work is client facing and therefore the individual needs to be presentable, articulate, communicative and empathetic. He or she must be able to work well with clients who generally have limited knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Be responsible for own performance and project teams’ performance which is likely to include some internal resources.

What experience do you need?

Core Skills

  • Proven Project Management delivery experience within commercially focussed projects or someone that has a mixed background will also be considered.
  • Consulting experience highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to organise and use time as a valuable resource to achieve required outcomes.
  • Be able to manage others’ times to achieve the required tasks & outcomes.
  • Be able to negotiate, agree and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to multi-task, order and prioritise effort and tasks.
  • Be able to plan and manage meetings effectively.

Qualifications for the role?

  • Degree in Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or other discipline relevant to the construction industry.
  • Full membership of RICS or other Chartered Institute(s)/professional body is highly desirable
