Quantity Surveyor – Civils/Infrastructure

Purpose of the Job:

CCO Is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist contractor within the UK and providing a range of civil engineering, construction, demolition, concrete frame works. Due to increased work levels, they are now seeking to recruit an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and understanding of the Contract Conditions
  • Analysis of the tender and liaison with the site team to set, monitor and report against the budge
  • Preparation and agreement of the interim and final valuations, including provisions of all supporting data
  • Provision of commercial advice to the site team involving regular site visits
  • Procurement of subcontractors, checking and certifying payments due and agreeing of variations to the accounts
  • Identification, pricing, issuing and agreement of Compensation Events in accordance with the timescales required under the contract
  • Use of software including COINS
  • Pricing of additional packages of work
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly reports
  • Attend meetings and develop good working relationships with clients’ representatives, other contractors and our own staff including the site management teams.


Must be enthusiastic, degree qualified, Quantity Surveyor with a minimum 5 years subsequent relevant experience. Previous airside working and Chartered Membership of the RICS would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate should have experience with NEC forms of contract and be organised, a good time manager and capable of working under their own initiative
