Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor

CCO Group is recruiting on behalf of an up and coming, dynamic Main Contractor based in the City of London, my client has recently secured a new £11m project in Central London which will be a high-specification full refurbishment project consisting of residential and mixed-use space incorporating a prestigious music studio. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to run all Commercial activities for this project which is due to begin in November.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager.
  • Monitoring of contra charges and notification to Sub-Contractors.
  • Pricing of tenders.
  • Review tenders.
  • Preparation of final accounts.
  • Take offs.
  • Issuing interim payment applications.
  • Sub-Contract procurement.
  • Cost monitoring, analyses and reporting.
  • Processing fortnightly/monthly Sub-Contractor payment certificates.
  • Variations.
  • Attend Site meetings.

You will need

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor.
  • Thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities and drawings
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
  • Proven track record in New Build and Refurbishments Projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently.
  • Must have a steady employment history.

This is a permanent role, and the salary will be negotiable and up for discussion due to the client considering both Intermediate and Senior QS levels. On top of basic salary there will be added company benefits including a discretionary bonus scheme.
