Senior Project Manager Consultancy Fit Out

Our client is a fast-growing consultancy that has established itself as a market leading force operating in three vertical markets across the EMEA: Project Delivery, Program Management & Flexible Office Agency. Specialising solely in the commercial sector, they have developed an extensive, elite, client base with a real focus on the ‘tech sector’ working exclusively with some of the biggest names in the industry. Their main patch of work resides in the UK and across mainland Europe however have extensive plans to break into the US market which based on projections, should be fully operational soon.

What is the role and what is needed?

Reporting into the Associate Director, you will be experienced in taking responsibility for projects, from inception through to delivery with mandates typically between £0.5M-£30M. You will have significant support from the leadership team when needed, however there will be, at times, autonomy expected from the selected candidate. Our client is looking for someone with drive, ambition and someone who has energy to help develop a ‘world class’ team.

  • Lead Projects, taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Manage and mentoring PMs and Assistant PMs.
  • Work under the direction of the Associate Director.
  • Attend, support and contribute to project pitches.
  • Raise the company and business profile by representing Hadron at industry events.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
  • Provide support to Associate and Project Directors as required on business issues including but not limited to business development, client management, bid writing, thought leadership.
  • Contribute to project RFP.
  • Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards
  • Providing leadership and direction for a project team including conflict management and resolution when required
  • Chair meetings and directly deal with client’s needs and questions.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Successful experience in commercial fit out / refurb sector in the UK and ideally across EMEA, but this is not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the market and construction related business.
  • Consultancy experience.
  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Project Management/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree (not essential).
  • Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution is preferred but not essential.
